Script Program

What exactly is the Scrip Program?

For those of you unfamiliar with this easy fundraiser, “Scrip” is a term which means “substitute for money.” Most of our scrip is in the form of gift certificates or gift cards identical to those sold by grocers, department stores, restaurants, bookstores and other major retailers. Other forms of scrip, called e-scrip, are revenues generated electronically by purchases made through retailer programs such as Albertson’s, Target, Office Depot, etc.

Net revenues from our scrip program are divided equally, with 50% going to our school for current expenses, and 50% deposited in our Endowment for Education Fund.

With the gift certificates/cards, our school buys these in bulk at a discount from two companies, selling them to you for full face value. You can use this scrip to buy everyday items---which you would purchase anyway---in these same stores and CTK reaps the benefits! Remember: it doesn’t cost you one penny more! There are no restrictions on Scrip.....it works just like cash, yet even better due to our profits!

For example: CTK buys $100 worth of scrip to Fred Meyer, it costs you $100; you buy whatever you like for $100 at Fred Meyer – no questions asked, no restrictions. We earn our profit upfront when we buy the scrip, so you don’t have to do anything else.

Scrip order forms are sent out weekly in the CTK Family Envelope (FE), or can be downloaded from the Good As Gold Script Script Order Form link listed below. On-site purchases can be made before and after school in the parish hall, and after weekend Masses from volunteers.

Remember.....YOU ARE ALREADY SPENDING THIS MONEY! Just that easy....just that quick....just that profitable for CTK!
